The cartridge does not print or produces poor print quality

  • For an ink tank, the ventilation hole at the top of the cartridge must not be closed. Has the tape been removed? See ‘the cartridge does not fit’ for more information.
    If all protection (cap, strip, tape) has been removed and no error message appears, you should start a cleaning cycle. This program can be found under ‘Printer contents’ or ‘Printer properties’.
  • Print a test page after cleaning.
  • If there is no immediate result, the cleaning program must be repeated 2 or 3 times, with a break of at least one hour between cleaning sessions.
  • If the cleaning program does not solve the problem, remove the cartridge from the printer.
  • For a cartridge with a print head; carefully clean the copper-colored part with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth. This may clear any clogged channels.
  • The message remains? Exchange the cartridge free of charge at the point of sale.
