Investing in Fairtrade

Because we want to look beyond our printer’s length, we also collaborate with sustainable partners who help not only the environment but also people. Therefore, we work together with FairClimateFund and invest in Fairtrade® Gold Standard® certified projects.

We support the Birds, Bees & Business project in Burkina Faso. This initiative focuses on climate change, biodiversity, gender equality, poverty alleviation, and sustainable energy, with impacts in both the short and long term.

• Energy-efficient cooking appliances: Save up to 50% wood, reduce CO2 emissions, improve health by reducing smoke and lowering physical strain.
• Microfinancing & training: Women learn how to make and maintain the cooking appliances themselves and receive microloans to set up other sources of income.
• Climate academy: Women are trained in sustainable land management and reforestation for a healthy ecosystem.
• More biodiversity: By planting different trees, agricultural yields improve and the living environment becomes more attractive for bees, insects, and birds.
