How to prevent errror notifications on HP printers?

Turn off HP’s automatic firmware updates and prevent errors. Don’t worry! This action will not affect the performance of your printer.

• The following message may appear on your printer if there has been a firmware update.

To resolve this issue, follow the steps below.

• Click on the gear in the control panel and select Setup.

• Scroll down and select ‘Printer Maintenance’.

• Scroll down and select ‘Update the printer’.

• Click on ‘Printer update options’.

• Select ‘Do not check’.

• Select ‘No’ to disable automatic updates. This will allow non-genuine cartridges to be used.

Turning off automatic updates will not affect the performance of your printer.
